In case of demolition of building, society/ customer has to send the request in writing to Customer Care Office regarding the demolition work by taking consent from all the gas using customers regarding permanent disconnection. MGL’s authorized contractor shall visit the premise and disconnect/ reroute the gas connection. Society has to give the right of way to MGL gas pipelines as it is not possible to disconnect the underground gas pipelines completely as it might be feeding gas to neighbouring buildings also.
In this activity all gas pipes and fittings whatever will be taken back into MGL’s custody and customers has to apply for New Connection* once the society is formed. (*New connection charges are applicable).
